Boise State Broncos vs. Washington State Cougars

Boise State Broncos vs. Washington State Cougars at ExtraMile Arena

Look away from the ball once it is in the air. A rebound is being contested before the ball hits the rim. A player who seals off an opponent may never touch it, and another can come in from the side to collect it. That makes a miss worth following all the way through. If you are going with somebody who usually watches the shooter, compare what you both saw on the next attempt. Boise State Broncos host Washington State Cougars at ExtraMile Arena in Boise on January 13. It is a Boise basketball outing.

The real pleasure is in the small stuff you can track from the stands. Watch how movement away from the ball opens a passing lane, then follow the rebound action when bodies turn and box out under the glass.

It is also a good shared outing, the kind of game where friends and family can react together to every extra pass, loose ball, and scramble for position. In Boise, that live rhythm is the draw as much as the final score.

When Washington State has the ball, try giving the same attention to the other basket. A rebound that seems routine can be the end of a lot of work you only see if you follow it early.
