Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl at Albertsons Stadium

A bowl game gives you a reason to take somebody who just likes football. You can pick a side once you know the matchup or spend the game looking for the plays you enjoy most. Try watching how much room a runner gets between the lines before looking downfield. A few feet can decide where the play goes. Albertsons Stadium's blue turf is a backdrop you can share with somebody who's never seen a game there. The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl comes to Albertsons Stadium in Boise on December 21.

What makes the visit fun is how much there is to watch beyond the ball. You can follow the line of scrimmage, read the push and pull at the edges, and see each play unfold in layers as bodies shift and space opens.

It also works well as a home-game outing or a shared live experience, with the bowl setting giving the afternoon a different feel than a regular weekend game. The atmosphere is built for fans who like to take in the details and let the action speak for itself.

A postseason game also gives you time to enjoy the parts of the sport that matter regardless of the matchup. Look for the first clean tackle in space, or watch how much a short gain changes what an offense has to do on the next down.
