About Boise State Special Events Center
Boise State’s Special Events Center is a 435-seat proscenium theatre at the Student Union Building. The university uses it for dance, drama, opera, talks and films. Visiting productions can also use the room. It is a separate destination from the Morrison Center and Danny Peterson Theatre elsewhere on campus.

Which campus building is it in?
Use the Student Union’s physical address at 1700 West University Drive. Look for the Special Events Center on the event directions rather than heading toward the Morrison Center. Boise State Theatre Arts directs visitors approaching from downtown to cross the Boise River on 9th Street, turn onto University Drive and use Theatre Lane for its performances.
Which garage serves the Student Union?
The university identifies the Lincoln Avenue Garage, near Lincoln Avenue and University Drive, as a visitor parking option. Campus parking regulations and rates apply. Allow extra time when sports and other performances are scheduled on campus. Follow parking attendants and posted restrictions rather than using a residence lot.
What should I know about seats and access?
The proscenium theatre has a stage at one end of the audience area. Confirm the event’s seat selection and accessibility instructions with its presenter. If you are attending a dance performance presented by an outside company, contact that company for ticketing arrangements and the university for building access questions.
