About Danny Peterson Theatre
The Danny Peterson Theatre is Boise State’s black-box theatre inside the Morrison Center’s academic wing. The university uses it for theatre productions and staged readings. It shares a building with the Main Hall, but the rooms have different entrances and seating. For a Boise State Theatre Arts performance, the academic entrance brings you directly to the smaller space.

Which door should I use?
Enter through the Morrison Center’s academic entrance. The theatre box office is just inside on the right. Coming from downtown, the department directs motorists south across the river on 9th Street, then onto University Drive and Earle Street. Use the university map if you are walking from elsewhere on campus.
What is the black-box layout?
Boise State describes the room as a 3,600-square-foot black box with four movable seating banks and room for up to 210 people. The seats can be arranged for different productions. Check the performance’s seating information or ask the box office before assuming that a familiar row is in the same place as it was for another show.
Where can visitors park?
Boise State Theatre Arts directs visitors to the Brady Garage and posted campus options near Earle Street. Campus permits, fees and restrictions apply. A Main Hall show or football game can put additional pressure on those spaces. Give yourself extra walking time when another campus event overlaps your performance.
How early should I arrive?
The department opens theatre doors 30 minutes before its performances. Late seating is discretionary, and re-entry after leaving during the performance may be held until intermission. If you need an accessible route or a particular seating arrangement in the black box, call the theatre department or box office before the performance.
