Boise State Theatre Arts: A Midsummer Night's Dream

Boise State Theatre Arts: A Midsummer Night's Dream at Danny Peterson Theatre at the Morrison Center

A mix-up in the woods can turn into a whole storm of feelings, and that is exactly where A Midsummer Night's Dream begins. Boise State Theatre Arts brings Shakespeare’s comedy to life as lovers, fairies, and amateur players cross paths in a story built on tangled loyalties, comic mistakes, and the clash between people who think they are steering events.

That premise makes the evening easy to step into and hard to forget. As the different groups collide, the play keeps shifting from one kind of trouble to another, giving you a lively shared experience that works especially well when you see it unfold with other people in the room. It is the kind of outing that gives friends plenty to talk about on the way home.

This full production plays at Danny Peterson Theatre at the Morrison Center in Boise, Idaho, on April 10. With Shakespeare’s twists moving from one encounter to the next, the story stays playful while still letting the confusion deepen, which makes the whole arc feel bigger than any single scene.

If you want a night that feels social, smart, and a little mischievous, this is a strong reason to go in person. Bring someone along and enjoy the fun of watching the chaos land live.
