JSTJR

JSTJR at Knitting Factory Concert House - Boise

JSTJR, EZA and Elijah Andres give Boise three sets to compare in one visit to Knitting Factory. If you normally turn up for the headliner, try getting there early and paying attention to what each artist does with the first few minutes. An opening set can be the part that sends you home looking for new music.

Make it a concert night with the friend who always asks who's on the bill. Pick something to listen for together, whether it's how a set changes pace or which transition makes you want to stay with it. You have three different approaches to compare by the end of the evening.

There is a particular pleasure in catching an artist before you know what to expect. You don't have to wait for a favorite track or check whether the version sounds like the one you know. Give EZA and Elijah Andres that kind of open attention, then see how it feels to switch to the artist whose name got you through the door. If two friends have different tastes, this bill gives both a fair shot at finding something they would put on again. Make an evening of the full lineup and give yourself time to find out.
