Middle Aged Mayhem Comedy Show

Middle Aged Mayhem Comedy Show at Egyptian Theatre - Boise

At a certain age, a story that begins with “I only bent down to pick something up” can go in several directions. Middle Aged Mayhem brings a comedy show built around that stage of life to the Egyptian Theatre in Boise. The premise is reason enough to invite somebody who remembers when you both thought you would have things figured out by now.

Part of the fun is finding out which ordinary detail makes you laugh because it sounds a little too familiar. The same subject can land differently if you're the one telling the story, the friend who has heard it before or the person quietly deciding never to admit it happened to them too. In a theater, you get to hear the room catch on with you. That shared recognition can be as funny as the line that set it off.

Make it an outing with people you don't get to see as often as you'd like. You can start with dinner and let the show give you something to talk about that has nothing to do with the errands you were putting off. If you leave with a new way to laugh at something you already complain about, that's a pretty good use of an evening in Boise.
