A Little Princess at Boise Little Theater
You've read *A Little Princess* more times than you can count, and now there's a chance to see why Sara Crewe's story still matters. John Vreeke's adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett's beloved novel arrives at Boise Little Theater on December 10, 2026 at 7:30 PM, and this production does something rare, it gives you and the kids in your life something meaningful to discuss afterward. Director Nikki Wesselman stages Sara's journey from her privileged life in India to a London school where everything changes after devastating news about her father.
The beauty of this comedy-drama lies in how it meets audiences where they are. Young viewers see adventure and imagination triumph over cruelty. Adults recognize deeper truths about dignity when the world strips everything else away. That's the conversation starter you've been looking for, not a lecture, just a girl who chooses kindness when she has every reason not to.
Boise Little Theater creates the intimate setting this story deserves, where Sara's inner strength feels close enough to inspire. This version balances the humor and heartbreak without talking down to anyone in the audience.
Give a younger theatergoer time afterward to tell you what they think Sara did right. They may have noticed a choice that passed you by.
