Andy Grammer

Andy Grammer at Egyptian Theatre - Boise

What do you notice about a familiar pop song when the songwriter is the focus of the whole show? Andy Grammer brings Greater Than Pt. II: A One Man Show to the Egyptian Theatre in Boise. The solo format is the draw if you want to spend an evening following the performer who wrote the material you came to hear.

Grammer is a multi-platinum singer-songwriter. If one of his songs takes you back to a specific person or place, take someone who knows that story. You can compare what each of you brings to the music and what you take away from hearing the artist in person.

A song can feel different when you give the performer your full attention. Try watching where Grammer lets a phrase breathe or brings a line forward, especially if you've mostly heard his music while doing something else. The focus of a solo show makes those small choices part of what you came to see. It's also an easy invitation to someone who knows a few songs but hasn't followed every release. You can go in with different memories of the music and still have the same person onstage to follow. The conversation afterward can start with whatever surprised you.
