ATLiens at Knitting Factory Concert House - Boise

Pick a transition and listen to where it takes you. ATLiens bring the Destruction of a UFO Tour to Knitting Factory in Boise, with Habstrakt and Benda on the bill. If bass music is what gets you out of the house, you get a whole concert to compare how different sets build anticipation and bring the rhythm back into focus.

Start early enough to hear the other artists, especially if you only know the headliner. One friend might follow the groove while another notices how a change of pace sets up what comes next. Trade notes between sets and see which part of the night each of you would go back for.

There is a reason to be in the room for the change rather than jump straight to a highlight later. You get to hear the stretch of music that makes the switch land. A little patience can make you notice a beat that seemed unimportant when it first came in, or how the rhythm holds together even as the sounds change around it. At a three-artist show you get several chances to catch that happening. If a friend always points you to one moment in a set, ask them to tell you what they heard leading up to it.
