Bayonne at Basement At Shrine Social Club

A little repetition can make you hear a sound differently the next time around. That's a good way into Bayonne, Roger Sellers' layered electronic project, at the Shrine Social Club basement in Boise. At the Basement at Shrine Social Club on November 14, this is a chance to hear an artist whose work on Bobbing and Tilted Earth has drawn attention for its careful construction and steady momentum.

One reason to go is the writing itself. Bayonne’s arrangements reward patience, unfolding with a focus on texture and pattern that makes each passage feel purposeful. In a room like the Shrine Social Club basement, that kind of detail can give the night a concentrated, intimate edge for Boise listeners who want more than a routine concert.

Another reason is the bill around the headliner. Bobbing and Tilted Earth are both on the promoter bill, giving you a chance to discover two openers alongside Bayonne in one Boise night. If you like finding new names while still coming in for a featured artist, this show gives you a simple way to do that.

With Bobbing and Tilted Earth on the bill, you can make the whole evening about discovery. Hear what each opener does with the room before settling into Bayonne.
