Boise State University Department of Music at Morrison Center For The Performing Arts

A band can change the color of a tune without changing the tune itself. Hear that possibility in the Boise State Symphonic Winds' evening concert at the Morrison Center in Boise. Hearing color in a wind ensemble can make familiar families of sound feel newly distinct, from woodwind lines to brass statements and percussion detail, all within one focused performance.

The setting also makes this a strong local outing for a listener or young musician. At the Morrison Center, Boise audiences can take in a university music presentation that keeps the attention on the concert band format and the craft behind it. It is a straightforward way to experience Boise State University Department of Music in a live setting.

Because this performance is part of Boise State Symphonic Winds, it offers a clear look at how an ensemble shapes contrast, balance, and blend. That makes it appealing for anyone who enjoys live music with a close ear, especially in a venue like the Morrison Center where every section has room to register.
