Candlelight: Christmas Classics

Candlelight: Christmas Classics at Egyptian Theatre - Boise

A traditional carol and a holiday movie theme can bring back very different memories. Candlelight: Christmas Classics puts both on one program at Boise’s Egyptian Theatre on December 19, 2026. Listeso String Quartet performs by candlelight, giving you a chance to hear what those pieces have in common when the same four players take them on.

The advertised program spans traditional carols, festive pop and film music. Examples include Greensleeves, Carol of the Bells and music from The Holiday, subject to change. Listen for whether you recognize a piece by the tune or by its rhythm. It can be fun to compare notes afterward with a friend who grew up with a different set of holiday favorites.

If you want to build a December outing around music, the string quartet format gives you a reason to sit down and listen closely to pieces you usually hear in passing. For the December 19 performance, check ticket options for Christmas Classics.
