Cyclops

Cyclops at Knitting Factory Concert House - Boise

A bass drop is one thing. The sound that makes you wait for it can be just as interesting. Cyclops brings that part of dubstep to Knitting Factory in Boise with Sportmode. For fans who follow dubstep closely, Keith Palmieri’s project brings a direct connection to the genre’s heavy bass and experimental sound design. That makes this a strong pick for listeners who want a focused live electronic set in the heart of downtown Boise.

The draw here is the contrast. Cyclops and Sportmode create a bill that gives the evening different electronic approaches in one room, which adds variety without losing momentum. If you appreciate how live electronic music can shift from one set to the next, this Boise date offers that kind of range at Knitting Factory Boise.

There is also the appeal of the artist’s craft itself. Cyclops centers tension and rhythm, and that focus gives the performance a clear identity. In a venue like the Knitting Factory, those elements can make for an especially engaging concert experience because the music stays precise and concentrated from start to finish.

Give Sportmode the same attention you give the headliner. Put the sets side by side and see whose sense of timing you want to hear more of.
