John Craigie & The Bones of J.R. Jones

John Craigie & The Bones of J.R. Jones at Egyptian Theatre - Boise

A songwriter can make you laugh halfway through a story you thought was going somewhere sad. John Craigie brings that kind of attention to words to the Egyptian Theatre in Boise, on a bill with The Bones of J.R. Jones. Craigie’s storytelling and humor give the evening a personal edge, the kind of performance where lyrics and timing matter as much as melody.

The bill also offers two different songwriting voices in one room. That contrast gives listeners more to follow, from one artist’s perspective to the other’s. If you pay attention to writing, this is a strong reason to be at the Egyptian Theatre in Boise on January 29, 2027.

For fans who like concerts with personality, Craigie’s reputation as a songwriter and storyteller adds another layer. His material invites close listening, and the setting in Boise makes that focus feel especially direct. It is a chance to spend the night with songs that are built to be heard closely.

With both artists confirmed for the same Boise date, the evening stands on its own as a live music event shaped by craft and contrast.

Make room for both voices in your plans. A line that stays with you from one artist may give you a way into the other one's work, even if their delivery pulls you in for different reasons.
