Rotimi

Rotimi at Knitting Factory Concert House - Boise

Rotimi and Shaffy are on the same Boise bill at Knitting Factory. That pairing gives you a reason to come even if you know one artist better than the other. Start with the name that brought you in, then pay attention to what you notice about the other performer once you are hearing them in the room.

Take someone who comes to concerts with different favorites from yours. Compare the moments when each artist pulled your attention back to the stage, whether it was the way a phrase landed or how a performance shifted pace. An outing built around two billed artists gives both of you a chance to discover something.

If this is the first time you're hearing either artist live, skip the homework for one of them. Listen to a little of the other before you go, then see which experience you enjoy more. Sometimes knowing a voice makes you listen for the details. Sometimes the pleasure is having no idea what will catch you. Boise's Knitting Factory date makes room for both approaches in a single outing. You can come for a familiar performer and leave with a specific reason to pay attention to the other, beyond seeing their name next to somebody you already like.
