Saosin

Saosin at Knitting Factory Concert House - Boise

If Saosin's self-titled album takes you back to a particular year, its twentieth anniversary is a reason to hear the band live in Boise. Cove Reber, Beau Burchell, Phil Sgrosso, Chris Sorenson and Alex Rodriguez are billed for the date at Knitting Factory. Put the record on before the concert and see what still grabs you when you come back to it.

Silent Planet, Like Moths To Flames and Save Us also play the show. That makes the concert an outing for someone who knows the anniversary record and someone who is simply curious about the rest of the bill. Get there for the other bands and give yourself a chance to discover a new favorite alongside a familiar name.

A record can take you back before you remember much about the songs themselves. Put it on with the friend who used to play it around you and see what you remember independently. At the concert, give yourself a chance to watch the players and hear where your attention goes now. If you came to Saosin years after the record was released, the anniversary gives you a different kind of connection. You get to share a room with listeners who found it at different points and hear the band on a bill that gives newer favorites a place too.
