Silverada

Silverada at Ballroom At Shrine Social Club

A good country band gives you a reason to pay attention to the rhythm even when a lyric has already won you over. Silverada brings Texas country to the Shrine Social Club ballroom in Boise, with Emily Nenni also on the bill. If your friend always wants to hear the singer and you're the one who follows the band, you have plenty to compare on the way home.

Try Cheap Silver & Solid Country Gold before the show. The group recorded it at Abbey Road with help from the London Symphony Orchestra, a detour in the band's recorded work that gives you a sense of how far it's willing to take a Texas sound. At the Boise concert, put the recording out of your mind for a bit and hear what keeps the music moving when the players are in front of you.

Make time for Emily Nenni, especially if the headliner is the name that sold you on the outing. An opener gives you a chance to get interested in a singer before you have a favorite song to wait for. Put someone in charge of choosing a track from each act on the drive over and see whose pick gets played again on the way back. That is a night out built around the music from start to finish.
