The Buena Vista Orchestra

The Buena Vista Orchestra at Egyptian Theatre - Boise

Try listening past the melody for the rhythm that makes it move. The Buena Vista Orchestra brings a live Cuban music program to the Egyptian Theatre in Boise. If you want an evening centered on the music itself, this touring group offers a direct way to experience the style in performance.

One reason to attend is the live interpretation of Cuban music. On March 21, the Egyptian Theatre gives Boise listeners a chance to hear the ensemble approach these rhythms and melodies in a concert setting that keeps the focus on the music’s movement and character.

Another draw is the ensemble interplay. Following rhythm and melody across a live performance lets the audience appreciate how the pieces connect, shift, and answer one another in real time. That kind of listening creates a different experience than hearing the music any other way.

For Boise concertgoers who want a night built around Cuban music in a classic venue, The Buena Vista Orchestra at the Egyptian Theatre is an easy choice.

One of the pleasures of hearing an ensemble is watching where the attention goes next. You can follow the part that drew you in, then notice what another musician does to change how it feels. It's an outing you can share with someone who comes for a completely different sound and still have plenty to talk about afterward.
