The Red Clay Strays & St. Paul and The Broken Bones

The Red Clay Strays & St. Paul and The Broken Bones at ExtraMile Arena

Two bands give you two ways into Southern music on the Grateful Tour. The Red Clay Strays share the bill with St. Paul & The Broken Bones at ExtraMile Arena in Boise. If you and a friend usually pick different records for the drive, this is an outing where one can come for Southern rock and the other for soul.

Pay attention to what makes you move with each band. A guitar phrase might be what pulls you in with one, while the way a voice rides the rhythm might be what stays with you from the other. Hearing both in the same visit gives you a good reason to make time for the whole bill.

You can also treat the concert as a chance to give the other person's favorite sound a fair hearing. If you came for the Red Clay Strays, spend time with how St. Paul & The Broken Bones build a feeling around a voice. If soul brought you in, see what catches you when a different kind of band takes over. The change of approach is what makes a two-band bill worth hearing in full. It gives you an evening where neither person has to give up the act they wanted to see to come along with the other.
