Todd Rundgren at Egyptian Theatre - Boise

Which Todd Rundgren do you come for, the pop songwriter or the musician who likes to see how far a song can stretch? The Damned If I Do Tour brings him to the Egyptian Theatre in Boise. His official recordings stretch across work under his own name, live albums, and Todd Rundgren's Utopia, giving this date a wide frame for listeners who know him from different corners of his career.

That range is part of the draw for anyone who wants a concert with more than one entry point. Rundgren's catalog has different sides, moving between pop songwriting and exploratory rock in ways that give longtime fans and newer listeners plenty to connect with in the same room. It is the kind of live music night that can feel personal without needing a single definitive favorite.

The Egyptian Theatre is a fitting Boise setting for an artist whose name carries so many associations. The venue places the focus on the performance itself, which matters when the conversation begins with an official body of recordings that spans distinct eras and moods. For audiences with different favorites, that shared outing becomes the point.

Go with somebody who came to Rundgren through a different record. You can trade favorite tracks on the way there and talk about what caught you off guard on the way home.
