Beauty and The Beast

Beauty and The Beast at Morrison Center For The Performing Arts

Belle’s most interesting choice is the one that changes everything, when she looks past appearances and decides what kind of life she wants. That simple turn gives Beauty and The Beast real momentum, because the story is not just about enchantment, it is about courage, curiosity, and the risk of seeing someone differently. In Boise, Idaho, Disney’s stage musical arrives at Morrison Center on December 2, giving audiences a chance to watch that choice unfold live and feel the tale land in a fresh way.

This touring production brings new sets and costumes, which gives the familiar story a refreshed visual shape without losing the heart of the original. Fans of the score can listen for the songs that have made the musical a favorite, including Be Our Guest and Beauty and the Beast, while the stagecraft helps frame each moment with more color and detail. It is the kind of outing where the eye and the ear stay equally engaged.

There is also a special appeal in knowing the production reunited members of the original artistic team, including Alan Menken, Tim Rice, and Linda Woolverton. That connection adds another layer for anyone who loves seeing how a well-known musical can be revisited with care. For first-time theatergoers, it is an easy way into a classic story. For longtime fans, it offers a new lens on something they already know.
