Beauty and The Beast
Beauty and The Beast at Morrison Center For The Performing Arts
A beastly first impression can hide a story built on tenderness, and that tension gives Beauty and The Beast its lasting pull. At Morrison Center in Boise, Idaho on December 3, the Disney stage musical invites you to watch a curse, a cold castle, and a wary first meeting give way to something warmer and more human.
This touring production brings new sets and costumes, so the familiar tale arrives with a refreshed visual world. Fans of the score can listen for the sweep of the beloved numbers, including Be Our Guest and Beauty and the Beast, while noticing how the stage design helps the story move from isolation to connection.
The production also reunited members of the original artistic team, including Alan Menken, Tim Rice and Linda Woolverton, which gives this staging a strong link to the musical’s roots. That continuity makes the show feel both recognizable and newly presented, a chance to revisit a classic while taking in the details of how it is shaped for this tour.
If you love a story that balances wonder with conflict, this is a theatre night worth making room for. Bring the whole evening into the moment and see how a timeless romance plays in a live setting.
