Beauty and The Beast at Morrison Center For The Performing Arts
A story everyone thinks they know gets a fresh jolt when Beauty and The Beast comes to the Morrison Center in Boise, Idaho on December 3. This Disney stage musical turns a familiar tale into a live night out, with new sets and costumes shaping every scene as the romance, danger, and wonder unfold right in front of you.
The appeal is in how the production lets details land differently in the theatre. With the creative team linked to Alan Menken, Tim Rice, and Linda Woolverton, the show carries the songs and storytelling that made it beloved while giving audiences a new way to notice the score, the design, and the emotional turns built into the piece.
That makes it more than a retelling. It becomes a shared outing where fans can watch the world of the story take shape together, from the elegance of the castle setting to the moments that make the central relationship feel larger than a page or screen version can ever be. The result is a production made for being experienced in person.
If you want a night of classic musical theatre with fresh stagecraft, this is an easy one to choose. Let the story, the music, and the new visual details do the heavy lifting while you enjoy the crowd around you and the energy of a live performance.
