Beauty and The Beast

Beauty and The Beast at Morrison Center For The Performing Arts

Beauty and the Beast turns a story you already know into something new to notice up close. At Morrison Center in Boise, Idaho, on December 6, the Disney stage musical brings a touring production with new sets and costumes that invite a fresh look at how the tale is shaped for the stage. If you have seen it before, this is the kind of production where the details can feel newly alive in the room.

One of the pleasures of seeing this musical in person is catching how the score and staging work together. With Be Our Guest and Beauty and the Beast among its signature moments, the show gives fans a chance to listen for familiar material in a live setting while taking in the visual changes that come with this tour. The reunited original artistic team, including Alan Menken, Tim Rice and Linda Woolverton, adds another layer of interest for anyone who notices how the storytelling has been crafted.

This is a great outing for anyone who wants theater that balances recognition with discovery. A live performance lets the eye move from costume detail to set design and back again, so the familiar story can feel both warm and surprising. For longtime fans, that makes the evening feel personal. For first-time viewers, it makes the journey easy to follow and rich to watch.
