Beauty and The Beast
Beauty and The Beast at Morrison Center For The Performing Arts
Beauty and the Beast brings a beloved Disney stage musical to Morrison Center in Boise, Idaho on December 5, and this tour arrives with new sets and costumes that give the classic story a fresh frame. The heart of the show is easy to follow, but the pleasure is in watching how a scene can shift when two characters want very different things from the same moment.
That contrast gives the production real momentum. One character reaches for freedom and a larger world, while another holds tight to order and control, and the tension between those goals makes each exchange feel alive. As the story moves forward, you can notice how the music and stage design help turn those choices into something theatrical and immediate.
Fans of the musical will also recognize the sweep of the score, including Be Our Guest and Beauty and the Beast, woven into a production that reunited members of the original artistic team, including Alan Menken, Tim Rice, and Linda Woolverton. It is a chance to see how a familiar tale can play differently when you are in the room with it, following every detail as the scenes unfold.
If you want a night at the theater that pairs a well-known story with the energy of live performance, this is an easy one to circle.
