Suicide Silence

Suicide Silence at Treefort Music Hall

Four acts give you four ways into deathcore when Suicide Silence brings the Reminders of Hell Tour to Boise. The band helped establish the sound with The Cleansing and returned to that aggressive approach on Remember You Must Die. Hear the band in the context of a full bill that also includes Emmure, AngelMaker and Synestia.

Come early if you want to hear how different bands handle weight and speed. AngelMaker draws on blackened thrash and hardcore, while Synestia builds symphonic textures into its sound. Put the acts side by side and see what you notice about how each one builds pressure or lets it go.

The Boise show is at Treefort Music Hall.

There's more to compare than how hard a band hits. Notice how long one act holds a rhythm before breaking it, or what happens when another puts a contrasting texture against the guitars. Those are choices that are easy to overlook if you only catch a song or two from each group. This bill gives you time to hear them in sequence and decide what you like about each approach. If one of your friends comes for the speed and another comes for the weight, you have a lineup with enough variety to keep that argument going all the way home.
